FUNERAL: New Album Artwork, Track Listing Revealed

Norwegian masters of doom FUNERAL will release their new album, "As The Light Does The Shadow", on September 22 via Indie Recordings. One of the tracks, "In The Fathoms Of Wit And Reason", features a guest appearance by Robert Lowe (CANDLEMASS, SOLITUDE AETURNUS) on vocals.

TESLA: New Single Available For Streaming

The new TESLA single entitled "I Wanna Live" is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page' . The track comes off the group's seventh studio album, "Forever More" (see cover art below), which is set for release October 7 on Tesla Electric Company Recordings (in partnership with Ryko Distribution).

For "Forever More", TESLA reunited with producer Terry Thomas, who was behind the boards for the band's 1994 gold-certified "Bust A Nut" album, and engineered by Michael Rosen who worked with TESLA on "Into The Now".

LORDI: New Album Title Announced; Radio-Quality Rip Of First Single Available

Finnish moster rockers LORDI have set "Deadache" as the title of fourth album, due in North America on October 28 via The End Records. The CD "will showcase the band's trademark melodic hard rock sound, something the band has amplified from the debut, 'Get Heavy', onto the mega-successful 'The Arockalypse'," according to a press release.

A radio-broadcast-quality version of the album's first single, "Bite It Like A Bulldog" — which was premiered last week on Finnish radio — can be heard at this location'

ISKALD: New Album Details Revealed

Norwegian black metal band ISKALD will release its second full-length album, "Revelations of Reckoning Day", in Norway on September 15 and the rest of Europe on September 26 via Indie Recordings. The CD was recorded at a studio in Berlin, Germany with producers Stamos Koiousis and Vangelis Labrakis from Greece.

According to a press release, "With their new album ISKALD takes the step into the elite of black metal. Combine the complexity of EMPEROR with the groove and rawness of IMMORTAL, and we are closing in on what ISKALD are all about. The prestine production of Stamos Koliousis and Vangelis Labrakis adds another dimension to this killer album!"

Dutch female-fronted goth rock band WITHIN TEMPTATION played last night (Wednesday, August 6) at the sixth Summer Darkness festival in Tivoli, Utrecht. The band was joined for the ballad "Somewhere" by former THE GATHERING/current AGUA DE ANNIQUE singer Anneke van Giersbergen who performed the track as a duet with WITHIN TEMPTATION's Sharon den Adel.

Classic NOCTURNUS Lineup To Reunite For Tour

According to a posting on the web site of UK's "premier independent metal promoters" Arcane Promotions, the "classic lineup" of the long-defunct late '80s/early '90s American progressive death metal band NOCTURNUS will reunite for a tour where it will perform material from its acclaimed 1990 LP "The Key". Former SAVATAGE Bandmates Continuing Work On New "WICKEDWITCH" Recordings

Before Zachary Stevens (vocals; CIRCLE II CIRCLE) and Jeff Plate (drums; TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, METAL CHURCH) joined SAVATAGE, they were in a band called WICKEDWITCH with guitarist/bassist Matt Leff (ADAM BOMB, TRIGGER EFFECT). Now these three skilled musicians have reunited to record fresh takes on their classic, unreleased material and combine them with all-new tracks.
