To show Russia's no world's metal backyard GRENOUER did their best in their new album. The recording of the album took place in the best Russian metal-studio Navaho, then it was mastered by Mika Usilla in Finnvox; the cover was prepared by a famous artist Mickmo. Those who love thick booklets will be delighted - 20 pages with a great design by Natkasat, yet the lyrics are difficult to make out. After mentioning in his private correspondence GRENOUER's music could no longer be called death metal, Ind made us rack our brains. What could that mean? Ind created a real intrigue! And finally the CD is in my CD-ROM. GRENOUER took a military conception and therefore on the cover you can see a collective figure of a god of war. The album is made as a level of a computer game - a SWAT simulator. In the beginning of the first track you receive a mission by the radio and remember: "This is not an exercise!". It's a real war! Next go 8 songs-missions, full of rage, fury and aggression. But you want an answer: is it death or is it not? Calm down, there is death metal here, firmly twisted with brutal thrash. This stuff is bulletproof. Merzlyakov's growling sometimes breaks into screaming, narrating about cruelty and terrors of war, about islamites and skinhead-communists. No matter what ideas religious, nationalistic or political fanatics cherish, they all use means that can never be excused! Well, the bombing's over, 8 tracks, 8 missions, and, though you can still hear shots in the distance, it is time to rest.
"Soldier is history!"
