What a beautiful scene stands in the cover of the second LP of Russian pagan black-metal act! Just imagine the winter wood, buried in sunset tints. But I could not be able to find out the author's name from the booklet as well as the names of the band-members, who recorded the album. Lyrics and contacts on the background of musicians' silhouettes. Yeah, and the Pagan Front emblem, certifying the NS-orientation of the band. The album begins with intro "Эхом Славы и Забытых Клятв" (by the Echoes of Glory and the Forgotten Oath), where a few folk-motives call to one another. By the way, these melodies could be met in the following album songs. At once after the tranquil intro you will encounter the storm of guitar-flute duet "Вервольф" (Verwolf). Generally speaking, the flute plays a considerable role in ТЕМНОЗОРЬ music, it is a competent instrument like guitars or drums. Every of eight tracks - bright musical masterpiece. The tempo is mainly slow or intermediate. The songs sound kinglike, maestoso, which is significantly contributed by the vocalist, singing with the epic vocals, in the first tracks it joined with grim vocals, and, as a rule, roaring enters in the speedy parts. Indubitably the great is the epic song "Горизонт Весны" (Spring horizon), started with lyric prelude, played by the acoustic guitar, further following the numerous bridges and tempo changes. There is also an instrumental track in the album, called "Ледяной Простор" (Iced Waste) fully corresponds to what we hear. These sounds excellently deliver the snowy desert atmosphere! And how fortunately has the end been put! With ambient composition accompanied with choir in the background. From all non-instrumental songs there are three in Russian, and another two ones - in English. This, in my opinion, appears to me not very logical. Such band as ТЕМНОЗОРЬ is supposed to perform only in native language. Those whom hadn't heard it yet I give an advice: do not hesitate, indeed this beauty has been created not by Norwegians or Finnish, but by the Slavonic.
