Once, one of early works NIGHTWISH who has forced to rethink some a role and a place of music in my life has fallen me into hands. Emotional, atmospheric, semiacoustic music, lyrical songs and opera vocal of Tarja Turunen have reserved behind itself a place of honour in my memory and feelings practically for ever. Then all was in another way, all was differently and music of NIGHTWISH was other... But there passes time and group farly from being looks younger, and on the contrary types professional skills, develops already the unique style and manners of playing. What has changed since times of "Angel Fall First"? People have remained all same (in sense of the name the same, that they is irreversible steel is more senior), but music became more rigid, more various, the lyrics of even more emotional, and group, apparently, is full of creative ideas. Last words, probably, are a little bit idealized, not all at group so is simple and smooth, but, looking on anything it continues the creative activity And now to our attention will be presented a new album "Once".
Well, first of all always it would be desirable to mark that is new, and not standard in sounding group, here all (who the album already heard), indoubtedly clearly, that I have the London orchestra in a kind, and it that most of all is evident and brings the corrective amendments in the sound of group. This innovative element present practically in each song also became "the reason of disagreements" for many fans of group. Because of it opinions on a new album were strongly divided. On the second plan the factor, not on so much appreciable, but not less essential - sounding of a guitar... It is even more massive and energetic sound, than in the past. And practically uniform, that has not sufferred categorical changes since times "Сentury Child" is a professionalism in the performance of Tarja Turunen's songs and the concept of lTuomas Holopainen's lyrics. But those to whom new work of group pleased will not cry: "We expected the greater from group" but as on me, quite comprehensible direction was chosen by group in the musical plan. Among other things in some songs experimental sounding, already closely to a techno is inherent completely to motives ("Wish I Had an Angel" bright to a volume an example). Well, time speech has gone about songs we shall continue, I sow a theme for is what to allocate. Two songs from eleven most impatient fans are already familiar ("Once" and "Planet Hell") for they have come in single "Nemo". Continuing the order of following of songs in an album, we mark: "Creek Marry's Bllod" - a micromasterpieceof NIGHTWISH, the introduction songs in old kind acoustic traditions, and further rigid fights of an orchestra with Emppu Vuorinen's guitars, and half of song in the Finnish language reads up Marco Hietala, quite unpredictable course, on a background of drum-type sounding (though in the booklet it all is submitted in English!) . We mark very interesting guitar parties in a song "Siren", sounding in an atmosphere of the Egyptian motives (such there were at me associations). About "Creek Marry's Bllod" we have told a micromasterpiece, and not for nothing! In fact on an album there is and truly a masterpiece "Ghost love score" - ten-minute extravagant "real love story", shall not make comments completely on a composition, I suggest the interested student to estimate himself.
It is necessary to recollect a composition in the Finnish language "Kuolema Tekee Taiteikijan". I do not know about what that it, but I assure, it very sad, sing probably about whose death - "Kuolema" - a unique word which I can translate in the title (representatives of the Finnish underground have learned). All this should be noticed that I wanted to note, everything that has not noticed to you, having heard an album.
