VALHALLA Hail To The Fallen Majesty

The album of this Karelian band is definitely good but it looks like we've lost another sympho black metal band. The musicians picked up their own path. The first track called Karelia gives us the idea of Northern area - swamps, grasshoppers, soft winds, open night skies, fire - at least such images occur in my mind. The music itself can be defined as symphonic folk rock metal. We hear bass guitar, drums, electric and acoustic guitars, keyboards, strings, flutes and harmonica. Vocals varies from black metal scream to clear fatigue in vain of latest Anders Friden and industrialized manner. You will hardly find typical motives and they are well structured and easy to remember. The mood of "Hail To The Fallen Majesty" is calm, safe, symphonic and lyrical. Yeah I wish to visit Karelia.
