AJATTARA

AJATTARA is a Finnish black metal band from Helsinki, founded in 1996. The project of Pasi Koskinen — also vocalist of AMORPHIS — AJATTARA conducts its dark art entirely in Finnish, a choice that lends the music an authentically grim, northern atmosphere. Their sound draws on death, paganism, and Satanism, rendered through raw, mid-paced black metal with hypnotic, repetitive structures. Released on Svart Records, their discography represents one of the more distinctive voices in the Finnish black metal underground.
