ATOLL NERAT is a russian gothic/black metal band from Perm, formed in 1993. One of the elder statesmen of the Perm underground metal scene, they channel occult themes, reverence for nature, and anti-Christian sentiment into their brooding, atmospheric black metal. Released on Mazzar Records, they represent a strand of russian black metal shaped as much by gothic atmosphere as raw aggression. ATOLL NERAT continue to be active on the russian underground circuit.
