AVANTASIA is the brainchild of German musician Tobias Sammet, vocalist of EDGUY, founded in Mainz in 1999. Conceived as a rock opera metal project, AVANTASIA has grown into one of heavy metal's most elaborate and beloved spectacles, featuring a revolving cast of genre legends — from Michael Kiske and Bruce Dickinson to Jorn Lande — weaving together fantasy, religion, individuality, and enlightenment into cinematic power metal epics. Signed to Napalm Records, each AVANTASIA album is an event of the highest order. The project continues to tour globally with its star-studded lineup.
