DANZIG

DANZIG is the American heavy metal band led by vocalist Glenn Danzig, formed in Lodi, New Jersey in 1987. Emerging from the hardcore-adjacent MISFITS and SAMHAIN, DANZIG brought blues-drenched, Sabbath-heavy riffs and Danzig's baritone croon to darkly romantic themes of life, death, darkness, religion, sex, pain, and the diabolical. Signed to AFM Records, their early catalogue — especially the first four albums — remains hugely influential on generations of heavy music fans. DANZIG continue to perform and record.
