EDGUY are a German power metal band from Fulda, founded in 1992 by vocalist and guitarist Tobias Sammet. Beginning as a straightforward power metal act steeped in fantasy and epic storytelling, they evolved into one of Europe's most distinctive bands — blending self-aware humour, stadium-ready hooks, and genuine heavy metal power. Their catalogue on Nuclear Blast spans from the pure power metal of "Vain Glory Opera" to the hard rock-influenced "Tinnitus Sanctus". EDGUY are currently on hold as Sammet focuses on AVANTASIA.
