FINNTROLL are a Finnish blackened folk metal band from Helsinki, formed in 1997. Inspired by the trolls, forests, and myths of Finnish folklore and a fierce anti-Christian spirit, they deliver aggressive folk metal enriched with humppa rhythms, accordion-driven melodies, and guttural black metal vocals. Signed to Century Media, their celebrated discography — from "Midnattens Widunder" to "Vredesvävd" — has made them one of the most beloved and internationally successful folk metal acts of their generation.
