SENTENCED

SENTENCED were a Finnish metal band from Muhos, active from 1989 to 2005. One of the most beloved Finnish metal acts, their journey from brutal death metal ("North from Here") through gothic doom ("Amok") to emotionally devastating gothic rock/metal ("Frozen", "Down") is one of Finnish music's most artistically significant evolutions. On Century Media Records, their later albums — particularly "The Cold White Light" and "The Funeral Album" — remain among the most emotionally affecting records in the gothic metal canon. They disbanded in 2005, leaving a deeply mourned legacy.
