SOILWORK are a Swedish melodic death/groove and metalcore metal band from Helsingborg, formed in 1996. One of the most internationally successful Gothenburg melodic death metal acts, they blended the twin-guitar melodic death metal of AT THE GATES and IN FLAMES with groove, electronic elements, and clean vocal hooks to create accessible yet brutal metal. Signed to Nuclear Blast, their prolific catalogue — from "Steelbath Suicide" to "Övergivenheten" — documents over two and a half decades of creative evolution. SOILWORK remain active.
