STATIC-X was an American industrial metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1994 by Wayne Static. Known for their distinctive blend of industrial metal, groove metal, and electronic elements, their debut "Wisconsin Death Trip" was a commercial breakthrough. Wayne Static's death in 2014 ended the band's original run, though the remaining members later resumed activity under the Static-X name.
