DIE APOKALYPTISVHEN REITER have announced their 5th studio album. "Samurai" will be recorded in Juli/August at the famous Antfarm Studio (MNEMIC, EKTOMORF and others) in Denmark. You can expect another devilsride far from any convention. 13 brandnew tracks will be recorded, the limited edition will feature a bonus DVD. A video will be shot for the release as well.

On March 24, 1979, MOTÖRHEAD released "Overkill" — their second studio album on Bronze Records and their commercial breakthrough. Produced by Jimmy Miller (who had worked with THE ROLLING STONES), the album reached #24 on the UK Albums Chart, a significant milestone for a band that had only been given a chance to record after exhausting their label's patience. "Overkill" captured MOTÖRHEAD at their most raw and powerful: the title track opened with Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor's blistering double bass drum intro — one of the most iconic drum performances in rock history — before Lemmy Kilmister's bass and vocals hit like a freight train. "No Class," "Damage Case," "Stay Clean," and "Metropolis" established MOTÖRHEAD's unique position at the intersection of punk speed and heavy metal power. No one sounded like them in 1979, and no one has quite matched them since.
