The latest CATHARSIS single 'Ballad of the Earth' will be released on March 16 via the Irond label and will serve as a calling card for the band's upcoming full-length album, scheduled for fall 2007. Of the 5 audio tracks featured on the single, 3 are exclusive and will not appear on any subsequent CATHARSIS release. In addition to the audio portion, the disc includes a large video section featuring a trailer for the upcoming DVD and two live clips from theatrical concerts in moscow and st. petersburg, which will form the basis of the DVD itself. As always, Margarita Pushkina participated in the work on the single, having written most of the lyrics, while Evgeny Vinogradov (Dai Records) handled the overall sound. For the first time in the band's history, the single features a fully piano-based variation of the title track, and the cover by st. petersburg heavyweights [AMATORY] of the song "Wings" (this version with female vocals (!!) has never been published anywhere, not even on [AMATORY]'s own records!) will, at the very least, leave no one indifferent!
