SCARTOWN - guitarist left the band

There has been a lineup change in SCARTOWN -- guitarist Maksim "Max" Subbotin has left the band for personal reasons. This happened back in May, immediately after the release of the group's latest work, "Vertikalniy Predel" ("Vertical Limit"). The album's release show became Maksim's final concert as a member of SCARTOWN.

"We are very grateful to Max for everything he did for SCARTOWN," the remaining band members said in a statement. "With his direct involvement, in just one year we managed to record two such strong releases as 'Legendy Bolshogo Goroda' ('Legends of the Big City') and 'Vertikalniy Predel' ('Vertical Limit'), and play several bright and memorable shows. Of course, we regret that he currently sees himself outside of music and the band, but we believe we have no right to rest on our laurels. Over the course of several weeks we searched for a new guitarist to fill the vacancy, and after auditioning more than fifty candidates, Mikhail "Tibo" Vinogradov made the strongest impression on us. He had not previously been involved in any particularly serious projects, but we were looking not for a name, but for a good musician, and after several rehearsals and joint concerts, we realized that Mikhail fits into the SCARTOWN lineup better than anyone else! He not only takes an active interest in the band's affairs, but despite the vacation season, was ready to get to work immediately!"

SCARTOWN is currently preparing for an active concert schedule. Shows have already been announced in:

samara (September 15, Generator) Tolyatti (September 16, Podval) moscow (October 7, Plan B).

The band continues to finalize its fall/winter schedule and is open to proposals from regional promoters.
