In early April, after a prolonged silence, RASHAMBA finally made themselves heard -- and not just casually, but with a powerful new track that will be included on their upcoming album! The track can be downloaded from the band's official website. Below is a short interview with the group.
- Has the RASHAMBA lineup been finalized? When and where will we be able to see it?
Henky: After a long search, the lineup has finally been confirmed. For now we'll keep it a secret, but we'll reveal it very soon. Essentially, our silence was tied directly to lineup changes. But now we are getting in shape and ready to move forward! Kabzz: The first shows will take place in May -- check our website for the schedule. And in early June there will be two big concerts in both capitals. June 3 -- saint petersburg, Orlandina, and June 5 -- moscow, XO.
- What will the concert program include? Will there be any opening acts?
Henky: The concert program will feature new material, and you can also expect a couple of interesting surprises. Of course, we won't forget the tracks everyone has come to love -- we'll definitely sing them together with you! Kabzz: In moscow the opener will be Molecul, in saint petersburg -- Icelips.
- How many tracks are expected on the debut album? Has the musical style changed in the new songs?
Kabzz: The tracklist will include 11 completely diverse yet characteristically ours tracks, among which everyone will find what they wanted to hear from us -- heavy riffs, fast rhythms, heartfelt lyrics, upbeat melodic songs, and everything you could and couldn't have expected you will hear on the album. Henky: Whether the style has changed -- that's not for us to judge. I can only say that we did and continue to do everything from the heart, and one way or another, this is RASHAMBA. We have our own recognizable identity, and on our new creation, we have remained true to ourselves.
- Who writes the music and lyrics in your band? Who is working on the album cover design?
Kabzz: The main creative force and driving inspiration behind the material is Henky (previously Feud'or also took an active part in writing songs, and a significant number of his ideas are present on the album). We all work on the tracks together -- each person brings something of their own. Without each other, we would not have been able to create everything we aspire to and have already achieved. At certain points, conflicts and irreconcilable situations arose that disrupted the harmony without which there can be no honesty or soul in the songs. That is precisely why the lineup changes occurred. At this point, we can say with confidence that RASHAMBA is five people united by shared ideas and goals. Five diverse and multifaceted individuals who complement each other harmoniously and together do one thing that is immeasurably important in our lives. Henky: The lyrics are mainly written by Kabzz; sometimes I contribute and bring ideas. The cover is being done by our beloved Mike Zubique.
- Have you missed performing live?
Kabzz: That's a rhetorical question! Of course we've missed performing and, most importantly, our fans -- because the most important thing is when people understand and hear what you're trying to convey to them, and as a result come to shows! Henky: Concerts are a powerful energy exchange between us and you, without which we cannot imagine our lives.
