IRON MAIDEN have revealed the support acts for the European leg of their massive "Run For Your Lives" world tour, launching May 23 in Athens, Greece, and concluding July 7 in Lisbon, Portugal. MEGADETH, ANTHRAX, TRIVIUM, and EVERGREY will rotate across different dates as openers, assembling a support cast that ranges from Big Four thrash royalty to modern metal heavyweights and melodic prog power.
The British heavy metal legends' farewell tour has been one of the most anticipated and emotionally charged live events of 2025 and 2026, marking the band's celebration of their 50th anniversary since Steve Harris founded the group in Leyton, East London, in 1975. The "Run For Your Lives" tour launched in Budapest in May 2025 and is scheduled to conclude in Yokohama, Japan, in November 2026 — a staggering global undertaking befitting a band of IRON MAIDEN's stature.
This is notably the first IRON MAIDEN concert tour in more than four decades not to feature drummer Nicko McBrain, who retired from touring in December 2024 after suffering a stroke. He has been replaced by Simon Dawson from Bruce Dickinson's BRITISH LION project. The setlist draws from the band's first nine studio albums, spanning the epic catalogue from "IRON MAIDEN" through "Fear Of The Dark," delivering classics like "The Trooper," "Hallowed Be Thy Name," "Run To The Hills" and "Aces High."
MEGADETH will also join select North American dates, including newly added shows in Toronto (August 30) and Los Angeles (September 26), with ANTHRAX providing additional support on the L.A. date. Tickets for the European dates are available now, with many shows approaching sell-out status.
