METAL ALLEGIANCE have announced their annual Anaheim show for January 22 at the House of Blues, once again assembling an extraordinary roster of heavy metal talent for a single unforgettable night of music that has become one of the most anticipated events in the Southern California metal calendar each year. Core members David Ellefson (MEGADETH), Mark Menghi, Alex Skolnick (TESTAMENT), and Mike Portnoy (DREAM THEATER) will be joined by an incredible lineup of guest performers spanning multiple generations and subgenres of heavy metal. The confirmed guest roster reads like a who's who of modern metal: William DuVall (ALICE IN CHAINS), Gary Holt (SLAYER/EXODUS), Andreas Kisser (SEPULTURA), Troy Sanders (MASTODON), Chuck Billy (TESTAMENT), John Bush (ex-ANTHRAX), and Doc Coyle (BAD WOLVES). Opening acts include CHAINED SAINT, RED REIGN, and LOST LEGACY, with doors opening at 7 PM and the main event expected to run well past midnight. METAL ALLEGIANCE was formed in 2014 as a celebration of heavy metal unity, bringing together musicians from across the genre's spectrum for collaborative performances and recordings that spotlight the camaraderie and mutual respect that exists between metal musicians regardless of their individual band affiliations. Their annual Anaheim shows, timed to coincide with the NAMM convention, have become legendary events drawing fans from across the country who travel specifically for these unique one-night-only performances that can never be replicated. The project has released two well-received studio albums — their 2015 self-titled debut and 2018's "Volume II: Power Drunk Majesty" — both featuring an ever-rotating cast of metal luminaries contributing vocals, solos, and songwriting. Past METAL ALLEGIANCE shows have featured surprise appearances by members of ANTHRAX, PANTERA, LAMB OF GOD, and numerous other prominent acts, making each performance a truly unpredictable occasion.
