METAL ALLEGIANCE have delivered their annual all-star concert tonight at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California, producing one of the most spectacular gatherings of metal talent seen on a single stage in recent memory. Core members David Ellefson, Mike Portnoy of DREAM THEATER, Alex Skolnick of TESTAMENT, and Mark Menghi anchored the evening with their trademark chemistry, but it was the extraordinary guest roster that elevated the night into something truly special.

Gary Holt — the EXODUS and former SLAYER guitarist whose razor-sharp riffing has been a touchstone of Bay Area thrash for four decades — delivered ferocious guest spots that had the crowd in a frenzy. William DuVall of ALICE IN CHAINS brought his soaring vocals to the stage, performing a selection of AIC classics alongside METAL ALLEGIANCE originals. Troy Sanders of MASTODON added his thunderous bass and distinctive harmonies, while Andreas Kisser of SEPULTURA — in the midst of the band's farewell tour — delivered an emotionally charged appearance that carried extra weight given the circumstances.

Additional guests included Chuck Billy of TESTAMENT, whose iconic voice powered through several thrash classics; John Bush, the former ARMORED SAINT and ANTHRAX vocalist; Jack Gibson of EXODUS; and Doc Coyle of GOD FORBID. The setlist mixed original METAL ALLEGIANCE material with carefully chosen covers, including a reportedly spine-tingling rendition of METALLICA's "Whiplash" that brought the house down — a fitting tribute to thrash metal's origins performed by musicians who have collectively shaped the genre's evolution over the past four decades.

The annual METAL ALLEGIANCE bash has become one of the most anticipated events on the metal calendar, offering a unique opportunity to see artists from different bands collaborating in configurations that would be impossible under normal touring circumstances.
