The blaze, which tore through the building in late 2025, caused total losses estimated at approximately 164,000 euros, threatening to derail a band that had been steadily building momentum in the progressive metal scene with critically acclaimed releases.
The fire destroyed irreplaceable items including custom-built MIDI controllers and electronic rigs that are integral to VOLA's distinctive sound — a sophisticated blend of djent-influenced progressive metal with atmospheric electronic textures and clean vocal melodies.
