Swiss technical thrash metal pioneers CORONER launched the "Dissonance Over The West" North American tour on February 4 at Swan Dive in Las Vegas with Bay Area thrash veterans HEATHEN as support. The 15-date trek runs through February 22 in Mesa, Arizona, supporting CORONER's acclaimed 2025 comeback album "Dissonance Theory" via Century Media Records — the band's first studio album in over three decades, released in October 2025.

The Vegas crowd was treated to a set spanning CORONER's entire career, from classic material off "Punishment for Decadence" (1988) and the progressive thrash masterpiece "Mental Vortex" (1991) to new tracks from "Dissonance Theory" that prove the trio has lost none of their technical precision or compositional ambition. Guitarist Tommy T. Baron's fluid, jazz-inflected lead work remains as dazzling as ever, while bassist and vocalist Ron Broder anchors the songs with his distinctive clean vocal delivery and complex bass lines.

CORONER's return has been one of the most celebrated comeback stories in thrash metal. After disbanding in 1996 and reuniting in 2010 for occasional live appearances, the band finally re-entered the studio to record "Dissonance Theory," which received widespread critical acclaim for seamlessly bridging their classic sound with forward-thinking progressive elements. The single "Renewal" — released in August 2025 as the first new CORONER music in 33 years — generated enormous excitement in the thrash community.

HEATHEN brought fierce Bay Area thrash energy to open the evening, reminding audiences why they remain one of the most respected second-tier acts from the San Francisco thrash explosion of the late 1980s. The tour represents a rare opportunity for North American fans to witness two thrash legends on the same bill.
