Full details have emerged for "The Amonklok Conquest," the co-headlining North American tour pairing two of metal's most theatrical and visually spectacular live acts: DETHKLOK and AMON AMARTH. The run stretches from April 15 through May 21, with Brooklyn-based heavy rock outfit CASTLE RAT as special guests, and it promises to deliver an evening of metal entertainment unlike anything else on the 2026 touring calendar.

The pairing is inspired. DETHKLOK — the animated thrash metal band from the Adult Swim television series "Metalocalypse," brought to life onstage by creator Brendon Small and a band of elite session musicians — represents one of the most unique concepts in metal history. Their live shows combine crushing, genuinely excellent thrash metal with animated visuals projected on massive screens, creating an immersive experience that blurs the line between concert and multimedia spectacle. Small's guitar playing and songwriting have earned genuine respect from the metal community, elevating DETHKLOK far beyond the novelty act status that might be expected of a cartoon band.

AMON AMARTH, meanwhile, bring their own brand of theatrical grandeur to every performance. The Swedish melodic death metal titans are renowned for their Viking-themed stage shows, complete with massive set pieces, fire effects, and frontman Johan Hegg's commanding presence. Their blend of hooky, accessible melodic death metal with historical Norse themes has made them one of the genre's biggest draws, capable of headlining festivals and filling large venues worldwide.

Citi presale began February 17, with an artist presale available at dethkloklive.com using the code BRUTAL. General on-sale is February 20, and given the combined fanbases of both headliners, tickets are expected to move quickly. CASTLE RAT, whose energetic blend of doom-influenced heavy rock and punk attitude has been generating buzz in the underground, round out a bill that offers remarkable variety within the metal spectrum.
