IMMOLATION have detailed their upcoming twelfth studio album "Descent," revealing the complete 10-track listing for what promises to be one of the most punishing death metal releases of 2026. The tracklist runs: "These Vengeful Winds," "The Ephemeral Curse," "God's LAST BREATH," "Adversary," "Attrition," "Bend Towards The Dark," "Host," "False Ascent," "Banished," and "Descent." Due April 10 via Nuclear Blast Records, the album was self-produced by the band -- a testament to their decades of studio experience and uncompromising artistic vision.

The music video for lead single "Adversary," directed by guitarist Bob Vigna himself, has already established the album's sonic landscape: merciless blast-beat-driven percussion, dissonant and angular riff work that defies conventional death metal tonality, and the cavernous, authoritative growls of vocalist and bassist Ross Dolan. Vigna's guitar work has long been IMMOLATION's secret weapon -- where most death metal guitarists build from pentatonic or diminished scale foundations, Vigna employs unconventional voicings, wide intervallic leaps, and atonal passages that create an atmosphere of profound unease.

Founded in Yonkers, New York in 1988, IMMOLATION have spent over three decades building one of death metal's most respected and consistent catalogs. From early landmarks "Dawn of Possession" and "Here in After" through the creative peak of "Close to a World Below" and into the modern era with "Atonement" and "Acts of God," the band has never released an album that failed to meet the extraordinarily high standard they set for themselves.

The album's artwork was created by Eliran Kantor, with internal booklet illustrations by Santiago Jaramillo of Triple Seis Design. Band photos were captured by photographer Stephanie Gentry. Across 40 punishing minutes, "Descent" promises to deliver IMMOLATION's most unrelenting material yet, blending merciless percussion and dissonant riffing into a sonic descent that lives up to its title in every possible sense.
