Veteran rock vocalist John Corabi, best known for his tenure fronting MOTLEY CRUE on their self-titled 1994 album, has announced his debut full-length solo album "New Day" for an April 24 release via Frontiers Music Srl. After decades of performing, collaborating, and contributing his powerful voice to various projects, Corabi is finally stepping into the spotlight with a record that bears his name alone.

Corabi has assembled an impressively stacked backing band dubbed "John Corabi & Friends" featuring an all-star roster of seasoned musicians: Michael Devin (THE DEAD DAISIES, formerly of WHITESNAKE) on bass, Paul Taylor (WINGER) on keyboards, Jeremy Asbrock (ACE FREHLEY's band) on guitar, Troy Lucckella (TESLA) on drums, and Marti Frederiksen (a prolific songwriter and producer who has worked extensively with STEVEN TYLER and AEROSMITH) on guitar. The collective musical pedigree of this lineup is staggering, representing decades of hard rock and heavy metal experience.

Corabi's career has been defined by both immense talent and frustrating circumstances. His work fronting MOTLEY CRUE on their ambitious, critically acclaimed 1994 self-titled album — a record that saw the band radically depart from their glam metal image for a heavier, grungier sound — is now widely regarded as an underrated classic, despite its commercial underperformance at the time. He subsequently fronted ESP (later renamed UNION with KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick), THE SCREAM, and DEAD DAISIES, while also building a devoted following through his intimate "unplugged" solo tours where he performed MOTLEY CRUE songs and shared behind-the-scenes stories.

The group has already kicked off a European tour, debuting February 12 at Empire Music Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland. "New Day" reportedly draws from across the full spectrum of Corabi's influences, from bluesy hard rock to heavier metal moments, and early buzz from those who have heard advance tracks suggests it may finally give this underappreciated vocalist the solo showcase he has long deserved.
