KREATOR's sixteenth studio album "Krushers Of The World," released January 16 via Nuclear Blast, continues to dominate metal charts and garner rave reviews a full month after release -- a remarkable feat of longevity in an era when most albums are forgotten within weeks. The album represents another triumphant chapter for the Essen thrash legends, who have maintained an extraordinary level of consistency and relevance across four decades of activity, a feat matched by very few bands in any genre of heavy music.
Produced by Jens Bogren at the renowned Fascination Street Studios in Orebro, Sweden -- where Bogren has also crafted acclaimed records for OPETH, ARCH ENEMY, AMON AMARTH, SEPULTURA, and AMORPHIS -- "Krushers Of The World" features standout singles "Seven Serpents," "Tranenpalast," and "Satanic Anarchy." The album's cover art features a highly detailed tapestry adorned with occult symbolism, crafted with a daring and unique flair that sets it apart visually from anything in KREATOR's catalog.
Bassist Frederic Leclercq, who joined KREATOR in 2019 after a long tenure shredding with power metal titans DRAGONFORCE, called the album "amazing" and praised the collaborative energy during the recording sessions. Guitarist Sami Yli-Sirnio noted "a little bit of a new approach" in the songwriting, suggesting the band continues to evolve rather than simply rehash past glories. Frontman Mille Petrozza continues to deliver the razor-sharp riffing and incendiary vocals that have made him one of thrash metal's most enduring and respected frontmen since the mid-1980s.
KREATOR have announced a monumental European tour joining forces with CARCASS, EXODUS, and NAILS, launching March 20 in Lisbon and spanning 20 countries through April 25 in Copenhagen. A U.S. headline tour with CARCASS follows in May, kicking off May 7 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and running through May 23 in Huntington, New York, with Tampa-based thrash upstarts Cold Steel providing additional support on all headlining dates. The touring schedule underscores KREATOR's tireless work ethic and dedication to bringing thrash metal to audiences worldwide.
