LAMB OF GOD's tenth studio album "Into Oblivion" has been confirmed for a March 13 release via Epic Records, marking the Richmond, Virginia veterans' first full-length offering in nearly four years and one of the most hotly anticipated groove metal releases of the year. The album was produced and mixed by longtime collaborator Josh Wilbur across multiple recording locations — drums were tracked in Richmond, guitars and bass at Mark Morton's home studio, and vocals at Total Access studio in Redondo Beach, California.
The band has previewed the record with several singles that have generated enormous excitement among fans and critics. The ferocious title track "Into Oblivion" arrived in January alongside the album announcement, immediately demonstrating that LAMB OF GOD have lost none of their devastating heaviness. The more recent "Blunt Force Blues" showcased a different dimension, with the Richmond veterans reaching back to their formative roots and the raw energy of their early years as BURN THE PRIEST.
Frontman Randy Blythe offered an unusually reflective perspective on the band's creative origins in a recent interview: "We learned how to play by watching and hanging out with other local dudes. That's what we aspired to do — keep up with good local bands." That DIY ethos continues to inform LAMB OF GOD's approach even as they have grown into one of modern metal's biggest acts, consistently headlining major festivals and selling out theaters worldwide.
A limited-edition CD zine will accompany the release, containing 24 pages of hand-written lyrics by Blythe, never-before-seen studio photographs, and original album art sketches by designer Ken Adams. The band has also announced nationwide listening parties from March 13 to 15 across more than 140 record stores, underscoring their commitment to connecting directly with fans. A spring 2026 North American tour is expected to follow, with festival dates already confirmed across the summer calendar.
