PRONG have released a live version of their signature song "Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck" as a preview from the upcoming live album "Live And Uncleansed," due March 6 via SPV/Steamhammer. The iconic track, originally featured on PRONG's landmark 1994 album "Cleansing," has long been the centerpiece of the band's live shows — a relentless groove metal anthem whose main riff is one of the most instantly recognizable in all of industrial metal. The live rendition captures the raw, unfiltered energy that has made PRONG one of the most consistently powerful live acts in the genre.
The recording features guitarist/vocalist Tommy Victor and bandmates Christopher Dean on bass and Tyler Joseph on drums performing to a charged crowd during their summer 2025 tour. Victor's guitar tone on the live recording is notably heavier and more abrasive than the studio version, stripped of studio polish and presented in all its distorted, feedback-laced glory. His vocal delivery carries a commanding aggression that demonstrates why, after more than three decades of relentless touring and recording, he remains one of industrial metal's most vital voices.
The full "Live And Uncleansed" album features eleven tracks recorded over seven nights in July and August 2025, plus three bonus recordings. The tracklist reportedly spans PRONG's entire career, from early crossover thrash cuts through the groove-heavy industrial metal that defined their commercial peak to selections from their more recent output. The album serves as both a document of PRONG's current live prowess and a career retrospective filtered through the intensity of the concert stage.
A new PRONG studio album is also planned for October 2026, making it a busy year for Victor and company. The combination of a live album and a studio record in the same year underscores PRONG's tireless work ethic and Victor's seemingly inexhaustible creative drive — qualities that have sustained the band through lineup changes, label shifts, and the ever-changing landscape of heavy music since their formation in New York City in 1986.
