Japanese avant-garde metal legends Sigh have announced a long-overdue return to the United States, confirming their first major tour of the country in nearly twenty years. The announcement was made with minimal fanfare, in keeping with the band's characteristically cryptic approach to promotion.

Sigh, active since 1989, are among the most singular acts in extreme metal — blending black metal, jazz, psychedelia, and classical music under the direction of founding multi-instrumentalist Mirai Kawashima. Their last significant U.S. run dates back to the mid-2000s, making the upcoming visit a genuinely rare event for North American fans.

Specific tour dates and support acts are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. The band is reportedly preparing new material alongside the tour announcement.
