DREAM THEATER's ongoing archival series "Lost Not Forgotten Archives" has surfaced another significant document today: Live In Tokyo, 2010, a six-track recording from the band's appearance at Summer Sonic Festival in Tokyo on August 7, 2010.
The release carries unusual historical weight — it captures the final performance by drummer Mike Portnoy with Dream Theater before his shocking departure from the band weeks later. Portnoy returned to the fold in 2023, making this concert simultaneously a relic and a bookend.
The setlist includes tracks from across the band's catalogue, with extended instrumental passages showcasing the chemistry that made this lineup one of progressive metal's defining acts. The recording quality, typical of the Archives series, has been professionally remixed and mastered.
