CORROSION OF CONFORMITY officially introduced NICK SHABATURA as their new drummer on March 13, closing the book on a months-long search that began when Stanton Moore made clear he would not be joining the band on the road. Shabatura was recommended by Anthrax and Pantera drummer Charlie Benante, who personally vouched for the Chicago-based musician.
Shabatura has previously played with deathcore outfit Desecrate the Hour and serves in the Chicago Nirvana tribute act Smells Like Nirvana. Moore offered his public blessing via social media the same day, making the transition clean and amicable. The new drummer will be put to the test immediately: COC launch North American tour dates in support of Good God / Baad Man beginning this spring, with Whores and Crobot in support.
The double album — featuring the previously released Al Jourgensen-assisted single "Gimme Some Moore" — arrives April 3 via Nuclear Blast Records.
