EXODUS have released a music video for "Promise You This," the third single pulled from their 13th studio album "Goliath." The album dropped on March 20 via Napalm Records and has been met with enthusiastic reception from thrash metal fans and critics alike.

The band describes "Promise You This" as "heavy as fuck but rocks just as hard," a characterization that perfectly encapsulates the track's blend of punishing aggression and undeniable groove. The members have singled it out as one of their favorite songs on the record, and the accompanying video brings the track's intensity to visual life.

"Goliath" marks the return of vocalist Rob Dukes to the EXODUS fold and features notable guest appearances including Peter Tägtgren and violinist Katie Jacoby. The album was self-produced by the band and mixed by Mark Lewis, whose resume includes work with some of extreme metal's heaviest hitters.

The release of a third single so quickly after the album's March 20 street date speaks to the band's confidence in the material and their eagerness to showcase the depth of "Goliath" beyond its lead tracks. EXODUS have been on a creative resurgence in recent years, and "Goliath" appears to solidify their position as one of the Bay Area thrash scene's most vital forces.

Founded in 1979, EXODUS are one of the original architects of the Bay Area thrash sound alongside METALLICA, MEGADETH, SLAYER, and TESTAMENT. While they may not have achieved the commercial heights of some of their peers, their influence on thrash metal is immeasurable, and albums like "Bonded by Blood" and "Fabulous Disaster" remain essential listening. "Goliath" continues that legacy with 13 albums deep and no sign of the riffs running dry.
