Fire in the Mountains has unveiled its complete 2026 lineup, and it reads like a wish list for fans of atmospheric, progressive, and extreme metal. The four-day gathering runs July 23-26 at Red Eagle Campground in East Glacier, Montana, on sacred Blackfeet Nation lands — one of the most breathtaking festival settings anywhere in the world.

Headlining the event is NEUROSIS, who will play their first live show in seven years with new vocalist and guitarist Aaron Turner (ex-ISIS, SUMAC). The performance follows the band's surprise March 20 release of "An Undying Love For A Burning World," their first album in a decade. For many attendees, this alone would justify the trip to Montana.

The rest of the lineup is equally staggering. BARONESS, ENSLAVED, YOB, and AGALLOCH provide a formidable mid-card, while BORKNAGAR and GALLOWBRAID make rare U.S. exclusive appearances. A reunited SIXTEEN HORSEPOWER adds an unexpected and deeply emotional dimension to the bill. FULL OF HELL, OLD MAN GLOOM, THE RUINS OF BEVERAST (another U.S. exclusive), SIGH, SUBROSA, WAYFARER, DREADNOUGHT, and PHOBOPHILIC round out a diverse undercard.

The festival also features a unique collaboration between experimental composer Raven Chacon and SEPULTURA co-founder Iggor Cavalera. Fire in the Mountains has earned a reputation as one of North America's most curated and immersive metal festivals, combining world-class music with hiking, camping, and the raw beauty of the Montana wilderness. With this lineup, the 2026 edition may be its finest yet.
