Ex-Queensrÿche vocalist GEOFF TATE confirmed the May 3 release date for Operation: Mindcrime III — the third and final chapter of his epic Mindcrime trilogy — and revealed that the first single, "Power," would arrive on March 20. The album was produced by Disturbed bassist John Moyer, who has collaborated with Tate for over a decade, and features extensive contributions from guitarist Kieran Robertson.
The album's storyline takes place during the same fictional timeline as the original 1988 Operation: Mindcrime LP, which remains one of progressive metal's defining works. Tate was concurrently on the road for his ongoing Operation: Mindcrime – The Final Chapter touring show, resuming European dates beginning March 28 in Germany. The album represents the conclusion of a trilogy Tate began with Operation: Mindcrime II in 2006.
