Oslo's premier extreme metal gathering, Inferno Metal Festival, has announced the final wave of acts for its 2026 edition, running April 2–5 in Norway's capital. The new additions include CULT OF LUNA, DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT, SVARTTJERN, 1914, SADISTIC INTENT, HULDER, ZATOKREV, and SWARTHEIM.

They join a formidable already-confirmed lineup featuring MAYHEM, DEICIDE, ENSLAVED, OLD MAN'S CHILD, SAMAEL, PRIMORDIAL, and INCANTATION — a collection that represents the full spectrum of extreme metal's global reach. The presence of Ukrainian war-metal act 1914 carries particular resonance given the ongoing war in Ukraine; their uncompromising portrayal of WWI as a lens for modern conflict has made them one of the most powerful live acts in the genre.

Inferno has established itself as one of Europe's most important extreme metal events over its two-decade history, drawing fans from across the globe to Oslo's intimate venue circuit. The 2026 edition will see Crow Bar replace Goldie as one of the club venues. Tickets are available at infernoalive.no.
