ONSLAUGHT, the U.K. thrash metal veterans whose 1985 debut Power from Hell and 1986 follow-up The Force remain cult classics of the genre, have hit North American stages for the first time in well over a decade. The March/April 2026 tour pairs them with traditional heavy metal act WARLORD for a package that spans the full spectrum of classic '80s metal.
The "Force From Hell" tour — named after a track from their 1985 debut — launched in late March and runs through mid-April, covering major markets across the U.S. and Canada. For many fans, this will be their first opportunity to see Onslaught live, given the band's absence from North American touring for so long.
Onslaught have maintained consistent activity in recent years, releasing Generation Antichrist in 2020 and keeping up a strong European touring presence. Vocalist Sy Keeler, who originally fronted the band's classic lineup and later rejoined, remains a ferocious live presence, and the current incarnation of the band — built around guitarist Nige Rockett, the sole constant throughout Onslaught's entire history — delivers the turbocharged, aggressive thrash the name promises.
WARLORD make for a fitting co-headliner. The Los Angeles traditional metal act, originally active in the early 1980s, reunited in the 2010s and have been slowly rebuilding their profile, particularly in Europe where their mystical, melodic heavy metal has always found an appreciative audience.
This is essential viewing for fans of classic British and American metal.
