Brazilian metal legends SEPULTURA are bringing their "Celebrating Life Through Death" farewell tour to North America, with dates running from April 29 in Montclair, New Jersey through May 29 in Los Angeles, California. Joining them as special guests are thrash titans EXODUS, hardcore crossover veterans BIOHAZARD, and rising death metal act TRIBAL GAZE.
The farewell tour marks the conclusion of a remarkable 40-year career that has seen SEPULTURA sell over 20 million albums worldwide and influence countless bands across multiple genres. From their groundbreaking early thrash and death metal work to their incorporation of Brazilian tribal rhythms and groove elements, SEPULTURA have consistently pushed the boundaries of heavy music.
The current lineup features founding members Andreas Kisser on guitar and Paulo Jr. on bass, alongside vocalist Derrick Green, who has fronted the band since 1998, and drummer Greyson Nekrutman. While the band's most celebrated era arguably came with the Cavalera brothers at the helm, the current incarnation has maintained SEPULTURA's reputation as a powerful live act.
The support bill reads like a heavy music dream. EXODUS continue to deliver blistering thrash metal after four decades, while BIOHAZARD's blend of hardcore and metal remains as vital as ever. TRIBAL GAZE represent the new generation of death metal, adding a forward-looking element to a tour that largely celebrates legacy.
SEPULTURA's farewell tour is expected to wrap up through the remainder of 2026, with additional dates likely to be announced in other territories. For fans who grew up with "Beneath the Remains," "Arise," and "Chaos A.D.," this represents the final opportunity to witness one of South America's greatest musical exports on stage.
