SLIPKNOT are gearing up for a massive 2026 with the confirmation of a new studio album and an extensive North American tour. The new record is set for an August 9 release, serving as the follow-up to 2022's "The End, So Far." The announcement comes as drummer Eloy Casagrande confirmed the band has been deep in the creative process.
The Knotfest Roadshow will see the masked metallers hit 29 cities across North America, kicking off July 26 in Mountain View, California and running through September 8 in The Woodlands, Texas. The tour promises the kind of theatrical, high-energy spectacle that has made SLIPKNOT one of the biggest live draws in heavy music.
In addition to the main album, fans can also look forward to the long-delayed "Look Outside Your Window" project. Originally recorded in 2008, the experimental and melodic album has been the subject of fan speculation for nearly two decades. Percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan has confirmed that the album will finally see the light of day in 2026, describing it as a departure from SLIPKNOT's signature aggression.
The new lineup continues to evolve, with Casagrande having joined in 2023 following the departure of Jay Weinberg. The Brazilian drummer, previously of SEPULTURA, has brought renewed energy to the band's live performances and reportedly contributed significantly to the new material.
With a new album, a massive tour, and the release of a long-shelved side project, 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most eventful years in SLIPKNOT's quarter-century career. Ticket and album pre-order details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
