Two of the most unique acts in modern heavy music are joining forces for a co-headlining US tour this spring. THE HU, Mongolia's throat-singing folk-metal sensation, and APOCALYPTICA, the Finnish cello-metal innovators, will share the stage across a run of dates from May 12 in Silver Spring, Maryland through June 7 in Anaheim, California. Finnish rockers THE RASMUS complete the bill as special guests.

The tour brings together two bands that have each carved out entirely singular niches within the metal world. THE HU blend traditional Mongolian instrumentation and throat singing with modern heavy metal, creating a sound that has captivated audiences worldwide since their viral breakthrough with "Yuve Yuve Yu" in 2018. APOCALYPTICA, meanwhile, have spent over two decades proving that four cellos can be just as heavy as distorted guitars, covering METALLICA and creating powerful original compositions.

Stops include major markets such as New York City, Milwaukee, Houston, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. Tickets are available via artist presale codes THEHUN and CELLOS, with general public on-sale to follow.

The pairing makes creative sense beyond the obvious novelty factor. Both bands share a commitment to expanding the boundaries of what heavy metal can sound like while maintaining genuine heaviness and emotional depth. THE RASMUS, known for their hit "In the Shadows" and recent Eurovision appearance, add a melodic rock dimension to the evening.

For fans of adventurous heavy music that defies easy categorization, this tour represents one of the most intriguing live packages of the spring season. The combination of Mongolian horsehead fiddles, amplified cellos, and Finnish rock promises evenings unlike anything else on the touring circuit.
