Swedish death metal veterans VOMITORY have released a new single and music video for "Wrath Unbound", the latest preview of their upcoming album In Death Throes, out April 10 via Metal Blade Records. Directed by Marcus Solvensson, the video delivers everything fans have come to expect from this Karlstad institution — relentless blasting drums, chainsaw guitars, and vocalist Urban Gustafsson's signature guttural attack.
Drummer Tobias Gustafsson described the track as "probably the heaviest song on the album," citing BOLT THROWER, CARCASS, and IRON MAIDEN as unlikely but fitting influences. "It's got a crushing groove but there's melody buried in there if you dig for it," he said.
VOMITORY originally disbanded in 2013 before reuniting in 2019, and their revival has been nothing short of triumphant. In Death Throes follows the 2022 comeback album Metamorphosis and marks another confident step forward in the band's second chapter. With no-frills brutality and a refusal to compromise, VOMITORY remain one of Sweden's most reliable death metal exports.
