New York hardcore metal outfit INCENDIARY DEVICE has released a powerful new single, "Young At Heart", featuring a guest guitar appearance from BIOHAZARD's BOBBY HAMBEL. The track previews the band's forthcoming album "New York City", due May 1 via Demons Run Amok Entertainment in Europe and Creep Records in the US.
Driven by urgent riffs, breakneck rhythms, and anthemic energy, "Young At Heart" captures the spirit of persistence and unity at the core of New York hardcore. Bass player and principal songwriter Tristan D'Graves commented: "Having Bobby play on this track means a lot to us. BIOHAZARD was and still is an incredibly important New York City band, and bringing that influence directly into our music is something special."
Vocalist Drew Stone — also a filmmaker and host of "The New York Hardcore Chronicles LIVE!" — elaborated on the song's theme: "The body ages, the lines on our face grow deeper, but the awe of hearing BAD BRAINS, MINOR THREAT or BLACK FLAG for the first time leaves an eternal imprint. Our physical body is subjected to the ravages of time, but music is the soul — ageless. Channel that youthful rage, stay young at heart."
The accompanying music video, directed by Ryan Struck of Daily Grime Media, celebrates the legacy of New York hardcore through visuals rooted in the city's history.
INCENDIARY DEVICE will play select US dates in spring and fall 2026 before heading to Europe. Bobby Hambel's guest appearance underscores the cross-generational bonds that keep New York hardcore one of metal's most vital traditions.
