METALLICA have announced a massive limited-edition deluxe box set for the remastered edition of their 1997 album ReLoad, due June 26 via Blackened Recordings. The release is a "one-time numbered pressing" — a comprehensive document of one of metal's most commercially successful records, which achieved quadruple-platinum certification. The remaster was handled by Reuben Cohen at Lurssen Mastering with Greg Fidelman overseeing the project.
The deluxe box set includes:
- Remastered ReLoad on 180g double vinyl
- "The Memory Remains" 7" single
- Live At Ministry Of Sound '97 on 140g triple LP
- 15 CDs — the remastered album, unreleased demos, rough mixes, B-sides, rarities, and live material
- 4 DVDs with behind-the-scenes footage, studio sessions, TV appearances, and live performances
- 13 Rorschach Test cards, 11×17 poster, Pushead print, 10-pack of picks, lyric sheets, three laminated tour passes, and a 128-page book with previously unseen photos
Standard formats include 180g 2LP, CD, expanded 3CD, cassette, and digital with Spatial Audio/Atmos mix. METALLICA are also launching the #GetTheReLoadOut fan cover competition — grand prize winners receive autographed deluxe boxes. Pre-orders are live now and include instant access to "The Memory Remains (Remastered)."
