Swedish doom metal trio MONOLORD have announced their sixth studio album, Neverending, set for release on May 29, 2026 via Relapse Records — their first new full-length in five years.
The album was recorded in Ashland, Oregon with producer and engineer Sylvia Massy, whose credits include TOOL, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, and Johnny Cash. Massy's approach was exhaustive: she requested every piece of material the band had ever written, including decade-old riffs and abandoned ideas, then compiled a working list from that archive. The band rehearsed 12 songs, recorded 11, and selected eight for Neverending.
The lead single 'You Bastard' arrives alongside a studio-session video. Vocalist/guitarist Thomas Jager offered an intriguing tease: "This isn't really what people would call a doom album. It feels like a mix of that and something new."
Drummer Esben Willems added: "In many ways, this album feels like the essence of everything we've done so far. My mindset is the same it's always been — to be the absolute best the three of us can be."
Pre-orders are now live across vinyl, CD, cassette, and digital formats. US tour dates have also been announced alongside the album reveal.
