Florida-based metallers NONPOINT have announced their forthcoming studio album "The Last Word," set for release in late summer 2026. Alongside the announcement, the band shared the lead single "Is It" — a lyric video is already available, with the digital release following on May 8, 2026.

Vocalist Elias Soriano described the lyrical concept behind the single: "'Is It' is that internal conflict where you question getting too involved — did I push too hard?" The song explores themes of self-doubt and emotional restraint, territory the band has navigated effectively throughout their 30-year career in heavy music.

The album title carries deliberate weight. "In a world that sometimes wants to put a timestamp on creativity, 'The Last Word' is our way of saying we're just getting started," Soriano explained. The cover artwork features a pencil motif: "The pencil on the cover represents the expectation to fit everything you have left to say into it."

Drummer Robb Rivera confirmed the band has 16 or 17 songs ready, with the final album expected to contain approximately 10 tracks. A second song, "Red Yeti," features a guest appearance from SUMO CYCO vocalist Skye Sweetnam, adding a further layer to the album's sonic palette.

NONPOINT has been a consistent force in heavy music since forming in Fort Lauderdale in 1996, building a catalogue of aggressive, groove-driven records that blend nu-metal energy with melodic songwriting. "The Last Word" promises to continue that lineage — focused, heavy, and uncompromising.
