SHANE EMBURY, longtime bassist of British grindcore pioneers NAPALM DEATH, has released the music video for "Taurus," the second preview track from his upcoming debut solo album "Bridge to Resolution."
The album will be released on June 5, 2026 via Dissonance Productions on CD and vinyl formats. Conceived during the COVID-19 pandemic, the eight-track record marks a striking creative departure for Embury — moving away from extreme metal toward atmospheric post-punk and gothic sounds influenced by acts such as Cocteau Twins and Killing Joke.
The album features drums by Carl Stokes, with production handled by Simon Efemey, known for his work with PARADISE LOST and CROWBAR. Embury himself plays synthesizers, guitars, bass, and layered vocals throughout.
Embury has been NAPALM DEATH's bassist since 1987, contributing to 15 of the band's 16 studio albums. Beyond his extreme metal credentials, he has long been involved in experimental and ambient projects. In 2023, he also published his autobiography "Life?… And Napalm Death" through Rocket 88.
"Bridge to Resolution" presents a deeply personal side of the musician, exploring themes of identity and creativity through a lens entirely different from what fans might expect — a bold artistic statement from one of extreme metal's most enduring figures.
