SLAYER have announced two special headline concerts in the United States to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their landmark 1986 album "Reign in Blood," performing the record in its entirety.
The first date takes place on September 4, 2026 at Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, Minnesota, with DOWN, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, and HATEBREED as support acts. The second show is scheduled for November 13, 2026 at Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, with CANNIBAL CORPSE, CAVALERA, and CROWBAR opening.
Tickets go on presale Thursday, April 23, with an exclusive presale code "BLOOD26" available through Ticketmaster. General on-sale begins Friday, April 24 at 10 a.m. local time.
Released on October 7, 1986 via Def Jam Recordings, "Reign in Blood" marked SLAYER's first collaboration with producer Rick Rubin. Widely regarded as one of the most influential records in thrash metal history, the album features classics such as "Angel of Death," "Raining Blood," and "Postmortem." It achieved gold certification in 1992 and peaked at No. 94 on the Billboard 200.
The current SLAYER lineup consists of Kerry King and Gary Holt on guitars, Tom Araya on bass and vocals, and Paul Bostaph on drums. These two headline dates are the only U.S. concerts where the band will perform "Reign in Blood" in full — though SLAYER will also appear at various festivals throughout 2026 with different setlists.
