Finnish symphonic metal icon TARJA Turunen has unveiled the second single from her forthcoming album Frisson Noir — a powerful collaboration with CRADLE OF FILTH frontman DANI FILTH titled 'I Don't Care'. Released on April 22, 2026, the track pairs TARJA's soaring operatic soprano with DANI FILTH's visceral black metal screams, forging a contrast between elegance and brutality that defines modern symphonic metal at its finest.
The song explores themes of independence and the rejection of societal expectations — a declaration of artistic freedom underscored by lush orchestration and crushing guitar work. Watch the official music video below:
TARJA spoke warmly about her choice of collaborator: "I have always admired how Dani has created a brand and image for his band CRADLE OF FILTH, and for himself, that stand out from the rest."
Frisson Noir is a 10-track opus produced with Grammy-winning mixer Neal Avron. The album also features guest appearances from APOCALYPTICA, former NIGHTWISH bassist Marko Hietala, and Chad Smith of RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS. Available on CD digipak, black and limited purple 2LP gatefold, as well as exclusive signed editions and a collector's box set, the album promises to be one of 2026's definitive symphonic metal releases.
To support the album, TARJA launches the 'Frisson' live tour on September 30, 2026 in Berlin. This collaboration with DANI FILTH is a bold reminder that the best symphonic metal thrives when it pushes against its own boundaries.
