Danish metal outfit VOLBEAT have scored their 13th No. 1 single on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart with "Demonic Depression," setting a new record for the most chart-topping hits by a band originating outside North America since the chart's inception in 1981.
The track is taken from VOLBEAT's ninth studio album God Of Angels Trust, released June 2025, which has already produced two previous chart-toppers: "By A Monster's Hand" and "Time Will Heal." With 13 No. 1s, the band are now tied for sixth place on the all-time list alongside VAN HALEN, GODSMACK, DISTURBED, LINKIN PARK, and PAPA ROACH.
VOLBEAT have accumulated over 145 gold and platinum certifications globally and received a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance for "Room 24" featuring King Diamond. The band — Michael Poulsen (vocals/guitar), Jon Larsen (drums), Kaspar Boye Larsen (bass), and Flemming C Lund (lead guitar) — are currently planning the fourth leg of their "Greatest Of All Tours Worldwide" European run.
