ALISSA WHITE-GLUZ, former vocalist of ARCH ENEMY and current singer of DRAGONFORCE, has released the second single from her new project BLUE MEDUSA. The track, titled "Flying Monkey," is described as "explosive, dark, layered, and emotionally charged," and follows the breakthrough debut single "Checkmate."

BLUE MEDUSA features guitarists Alyssa Day (Mindscar, Absentia) and Dani Sophia (ex-Till Lindemann), with bassist Alicia Vigil (DRAGONFORCE, Vigil Of War) and drummer Delaney Jaster (Stitched Up Heart) completing the lineup.

The song was composed by Sophia, who stated the melodies "reflect the themes of the nightmares I was having at the time," while White-Gluz co-produced the track and wrote all lyrics and vocal melodies. Day contributed "a quirky, sassy, techy little solo" for the bridge. White-Gluz also co-directed the music video with Vincente Cordero and personally hand-painted the single artwork, selecting every visual detail to carry symbolic meaning.

White-Gluz spent 11 years as the face of ARCH ENEMY (2014–2025) before joining DRAGONFORCE. No full album details for BLUE MEDUSA have been announced yet.
